In short
A thread and a carousel are close: both are short points read in order. What differs is the reader. On LinkedIn, write for colleagues, cut the in-jokes, and give the carousel a cover that says what it is.
Steps
- Copy the text of each post in the thread, in order, into the prompt box (up to 6,000 characters) or into a text file you attach.
- Add one line above it: "Turn this thread into a carousel. Merge posts that make the same point."
- Say who it is for on LinkedIn. That may be a different reader than on X.
- Generate, check, and comment on any slide that carries two ideas.
What to change for LinkedIn
- Replace handles and replies to other people with plain words, or leave them out.
- Drop the "a thread" opener. The cover does that job.
- Turn a closing "follow me for more" into a takeaway or a question. LinkedIn says it shows engagement bait to fewer people.
- Images from the thread: attach the ones you own as files and say which slide each goes on.
Questions
Can I paste the thread's link?
No. Paste the text. carouselgen does not read posts from X.
My thread has 20 posts. Is that too many slides?
Probably. Ask for 8 to 10 slides and let the designer merge posts that belong together.
Can I post the carousel on X as well?
Export it as images, one PNG per slide, and post them wherever images go.
