Use carouselgen from Claude

carouselgen runs an MCP server, so Claude and other AI assistants can make carousels for you. Write the brief in your chat, ask for changes there, and get the PDF link back. Every carousel lands in your carouselgen account, where you can keep editing it.

The MCP server comes with the Max plan. Calls from your assistant count against the same allowances as the site: 20 new carousels a month and 10 edit rounds per carousel. See the plans

Before you connect

Sign in on carouselgen.com once, with the email you will use in your assistant. The assistant signs in to that same account; it cannot create one.

Claude (web and desktop)

Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Name it carouselgen, paste the server URL and choose Add. Then choose Connect and sign in with your carouselgen email.

Claude Code

Run this in a terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose carouselgen to sign in:

Other assistants

Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in can connect: add the server URL and sign in when it asks.

What your assistant can do

  • Start a new carousel, or a single image post, from a brief, with colours, a language, a style, your logo, or the look of an earlier carousel if you like.
  • Read a carousel slide by slide and see whether it is ready.
  • List your carousels, newest first.
  • Send an edit round of up to 10 comments and slides to delete, applied together. "On every slide" reaches the whole carousel.
  • Take back the latest edit round, or bring it back.
  • Write a carousel again from the same brief.
  • Get a PDF download link that works once and for 5 minutes. Assistants with a terminal download the PDF straight to your Downloads folder.
  • Get the slides as images for Instagram: one PNG for a post, a ZIP of PNGs for a carousel, with the same one-time link.
  • See how many carousels and edit rounds your plan still allows.
  • Turn a carousel's public link on or off. Anyone with the link can view it and use its look as a template.
  • Turn the carouselgen.com mark on or off for one carousel. Your logo goes on new carousels by default; to move it, ask in an edit round.

Limits

Up to 120 tool calls an hour per account, so a looping assistant cannot use up your month.
