In short
An account in carouselgen is one person. A brand can be shared across accounts, in two different ways, for two different reasons.
Add people by email
On the brand page, open the Sharing tab and add an email address. That person gets an invitation email, and when they sign in with that address, the brand is in their account marked "Shared with you".
- Up to 20 people per brand.
- Everyone in a brand is an admin: they can edit it, change its assets and link, add and remove people, choose the default look and delete it for everyone. Only add people you trust.
- They see every carousel filed in the brand, as covers, and can use each as a template. Only the account that made a carousel can open and edit it.
- A shared brand does not count towards their own plan's brand limit.
- A person can leave the brand. The holder cannot be removed.
Send a link
The Sharing tab also has an unlisted link. It shows the brand and its finished carousels, read only, and nothing else. It is meant for prospects and clients: you make carousels in their look, send the link, and they see their brand.
- The link is a long random address that search engines are asked not to index. Turn it off and it stops working.
- "Try it" opens the start page with the brand loaded. Anyone may make one carousel with someone else's brand, on their own plan's terms. On the free plan it has the carouselgen.com mark.
- "Save to my account" (sign in first) copies the brand, its assets and its default look carousel to their account. It is theirs from then on, with no tie back to yours.
Which to use
| Goal | Use |
|---|---|
| A colleague or assistant makes carousels in your brand | Add them by email |
| A prospect should see what their brand looks like | Send the link |
| A client takes the brand and runs with it | Link, then they press Save to my account |
Questions
Does adding a person give them a seat on my plan?
No. They use their own account and their own plan's limits. Only the brand is shared.
Can I make a person view only?
Not yet. Everyone you add is an admin.
Will they see my other carousels?
Only the ones filed in the shared brand. Everything else in your account stays private.
Try it on your own carousel
Make a carousel from a short brief, then use this feature on it. It takes about a minute to get the first draft.
